The WISE Gala Dinner 2024 is a distinguished annual event dedicated to advancing the safety and security of women and girls in Kenya. This year’s gala theme, “Guardians of Girlhood: Stop Femicide, Protect the Future,” continues the momentum of WISE’s “Heartfelt Security: Guardians of Girlhood” campaign, launched on Valentine’s Day 2024. This campaign addresses the femicide crisis in Kenya, urging society to prioritize women’s safety through self-love, protection, and community responsibility. The gala, scheduled for December 7th in Nairobi, is both a call to action and a platform for collaboration among key stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions.
The 2024 Gala aims to achieve several key objectives including raising awareness in addressing femicide and other forms of gender-based violence to mobilize a broad coalition, inspiring collective action toward safeguarding women and girls, facilitating Networking and Collaboration, Inspiring Action, Promoting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Celebrating WISE’s Achievements towards diversity and Inclusion in the safety and security space in Kenya.

The Association of Women In Safety Excellence (WISE) illuminated the night with elegance, vibrancy, and a burst of color as it concluded its end-year gala on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, at the Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts in Nairobi Kenya. This prestigious annual event, now in its third edition, attracted distinguished personalities from various spheres, marking a memorable evening of celebration and collaboration.
Among the notable guests were Dr. Raymond Omollo, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, Madam Zainab Hawa Bangura, Director General of the United Nations Office in Nairobi (UNON), and Dr. Roseline Nyawira, Director of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC). Their presence underscored the importance and relevance of the issues discussed during the gala.
The focal point of the gala centered around the critical intersection of sustainability and security, emphasizing an inclusive perspective that resonated with attendees from diverse sectors. WISE members, representing both private and public security spaces along with representatives from the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, members of the United Nations Department of Security and Safety, and private security companies, actively engaged in discussions and shared insights on key challenges and opportunities.
The association is keen to discuss women safety issues, leadership, policy formulation, research and development in security.
The Association was officially launched on 13th August 2020 by Former Deputy President and current Prime Cabinet Minister of the Republic of Kenya H.E. Hon Musalia Mudavadi.
